It’s no secret that there have been a plethora of couples across the world over the past 18+ months who have had to pivot and get creative in their wedding plans. Cheyenne & Dan were no exception to this rule, but their love story and the story of their wedding day have absolutely stolen our hearts as just one of the many highlights of our exceedingly special 2021 wedding season. This blog post is honestly long overdue in reminiscing on the beautiful spring wedding day that Cheyenne & Dan pledged their love to each other in front of their mothers and two children in a delightfully intimate ceremony. We are so excited to share a bit more of their story!
"Dan and I met in 2008 at Methacton High School while in gym class. I was a senior and he was a junior. We met because my friend and I got paired with a mutual friend and Dan to play against each other in badminton. So romantic, we know! We then spent gym class together lifting weights in the weight room, playing flag football, and wiffle ball. We also had study hall together where we weren't allowed to talk so we would secretly text which caused Dan to get an ISS because he got caught texting me... whoops! This led to us becoming really close friends that led to best friends and in February 2009, we started dating. I went on to college while he finished his final year at Methacton before he joined me at Millersville University.
“Dan and I really enjoy our down time together after our kids go to sleep where we can just relax on the couch while watching a tv show or movie. We love having family days with our kids, taking them somewhere fun and exciting. Dan and I also really enjoy our very rare date nights where we can just be in each others company without the stress of the rest of life for a short time.”

“Our proposal was very low key and intimate. We were at home on Mother's Day 2019 getting ready to go to Dan's sister's graduation from West Chester University. Dan came downstairs with the kids and handed me a Mother's Day card but when I opened it, inside was an engagement card that read ‘Will you marry me?’ I turned around to him on one knee, the ring in his hand, and both of our kids at his sides. It was small, personal, and perfectly us.”

“Our wedding day was absolutely perfect for us and it was truly a blessing in disguise to have as many changes as we did due to covid. We honestly couldn't imagine it any different than what it was. It was so stress free, intimate, and family focused. We loved how the focus and attention could be spent on our kids, as well as on us. The Farm went above and beyond being accommodating for all of the changes that came and doing everything possible to make sure our day was truly perfection. Staff was there the entire day ensuring it was everything we wanted, keeping our kids entertained by playing games with them or dancing, and adding in special moments like the tractor ride for our family. We also loved that we could be relaxed and take as much time as needed on photos and video of us with our amazing photographer Andrea Krout Photography and videographer Tariq Smith with Complete Weddings + Events. Our flowers by Tiffanie with Blooming Affairs Florist were beyond stunning and I am so glad we could make the change so everyone could have a bouquet of their own which doubled as centerpieces. Also the food took a major upgrade thanks to Mike Van Pelt and was absolutely delicious. When planning our wedding, we didn't foresee being able to have a "fancy" sit down meal but we were able to have that and more. We truthfully cannot pick just one thing that was notable about our wedding day. That would be way too difficult. Our wedding day to some may not be considered a wedding because it wasn't big, extravagant, and filled with a lot of guests but it couldn't have been more perfect, more beautiful, or more meaningful than it was.”
