Mission

Our passion is creating sweet endings for every special occasion in your life!

No matter what you’re planning, from birthdays to anniversaries and weddings to baby showers, back yard picnics or corporate affairs our bakery is here to craft a beautiful dessert table as the proverbial cherry on top of your wonderful event!

Our goal is to source as many local ingredients as possible, as well as edible flower designs to compliment your dessert table. We specialize in all things mini: pies, cupcakes, cookies, eclairs & cream puffs, cheesecakes, fruit tarts and more! We use Organic Whole Wheat White Pastry Flour and Natural Spelt Flour from Small Valley Milling in Halifax, Pennsylvania for all of our baking.

The Bakery's Roots

In 1949, my Grandparents, Joseph and Johanna Meyers started Meyers Family Restaurant. It was in business for more than 50 years in Quakertown, Pennsylvania and was built on the premise of good old fashioned foods with a Pennsylvania Dutch Flare. If you ask people today what they remember most about the restaurant, it was certainly the baked goods. Apple Dumplings, Seasonal Crumb Pies, Pennsylvania Dutch Shoo Fly and Funny Cakes were by far some of the favorites.

My brother and I grew up at the restaurant, working in every aspect of the business from a very young age all the way up until after we graduated from college. As a child I remember going to the restaurant regularly with my brother and seeing my Grandmother hard at work in the bakery rolling out dough or cutting strawberries. We both loved when she would dip her fresh cut strawberries in the big bin of sugar as a treat for us. She was such an amazing woman, filled with energy and a passion for serving others. After a lifetime of learning from his mother, my father decided to attend the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, NY to further his culinary education. When he returned, he took over the operation of the restaurant alongside his brother Joe. The CIA education coupled with years of hands on training from my Grandmother led to the creation of some of the best recipes that we still use in our baking today.

Meyers Family Restaurant

After 54 years in business, in January of 2003 we decided to close the restaurant. At that time, my brother Brad and I were both working with my father and Uncle Joe to run the restaurant. Although we were sad to see the restaurant close and part ways, we knew that for all of our families it was the right decision. My father has always had a passion for baking, so much so that he installed a commercial kitchen at our Farm House so that he could continue his craft. Over the years he continued to bake for family and friends. We have always talked about one day bringing back our family recipes to share with those who loved them. I'm excited to announce that we have finally made it official... "The Farm Bakery Inc., " was formed on April 29th of 2016.

Our mission is to provide good wholesome baked goods to our community and surrounding areas using our long-standing recipes. We will source only high quality local ingredients when available and will promise to hand-make every item with TLC. Our goal is to focus on favorites - Apple Dumplings, Seasonal Pies, Shoo Fly and Funny Cakes. We are excited to serve our community again and look forward to seeing where God leads our new venture!
